Happy Ending: Trixie

Trixie webI'm Trixie, also known as Trixie Bear or Good Girl.  I came a long way to be able to find my forever home. I first started in Pasadena, California where I was enjoying the warm weather. Before I knew it, I was on a plane with my closest friends from the Pasadena Shelter and on my way to Saint Cloud, Minnesota. I was in the Tri-County Humane Society for a little under a week before I found my new parents. Life is great! I'm getting over my fear of men, and although it took me a little while to get used to my new family, I sure do love them now! Some of my favorite things are sleeping, snuggling up in warm blankets, playing with my favorite elephant toy, walking across my mom's laptop while she's working, and of course munching on treats! I am so thankful for all the love and help Tri County Humane Society gave me.

Happy Ending: Tippers

Tippers webMy name is Tippers! Or Tippy or Tippy the Tipster!  I was picked up as a stray and brought to the Tri-County Humane Society where I was given lots of love and cuddles by all the amazing people there until I found my forever home with Five 2Foots and Five 4Foots (all TCHS alumni like me).  I am a special kitty, born with a neurological condition called Cerebellar Hypoplasia.  This basically means that the balance part of my brain is underdeveloped, hence the name Tippers as I often Tip over! Some say that I am a Wobbly Wobbler - but I'm glad I wasn't named that!  I am only 5 months old but I have already decided that I have an important role in life. My mission is to be an advocate for animals with disabilities and raise awareness of Cerebellar Hypoplasia. I am a Motivational and Inspurrational Meower! My favorite saying is, 'No matter how many wobbles life throws at you, pick yourself up and try again!'
If you want to be inspired or feel some Tippy love, you can connect with me at the following: Facebook ~ Tippers Inspurrations, Instagram ~ @tipperswobblykitty, Blog ~  http://www.tippersinspurrations.com/
I am also available to visit people with disabilities and give them lots of snuggles. If you could benefit from some Tippy TLC, send me an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
Tippy love and kisses to you all for a beautiful and purrfect day!

Happy Ending: Princess Peanut Butter

Princess Peanut Butter webWe adopted Princess Peanut Butter a little over a month ago. She has been great! She is quickly getting over her fear of people wearing dark clothing. Her favorite activity is to sit in the recliner and watch out the window and "protect us" from the mail man.  :)  She loves her squeaky toys and cuddling with the kids!  She is a part of our family!

Happy Ending: Manolo (Now Lulu)

Manolo web 1Manolo was surrendered to the shelter because of allergies in the family. At 11 years of age, she decided very quickly that she did not care for shelter life. She came across as aloof at best, but mostly just crabby -snubbing anyone who tried to become friends with her. Needless to say, she was not helping her case for getting adopted! We noticed that when we allowed her to roam free in our conference room or in the shelter lobby, she would turn into a completely different cat. These pictures are of her gazing out of the conference room window and sunning herself on our lobby floor rug. We knew that there just had to be a home for her that didn’t mind her occasional catitude, so we started promoting her on Facebook and Petfinder. She was adopted after 2 1/2 months, much longer than the average length of stay of under two weeks for adult cats!  The following update is from her adoptive family.

Happy Endings: Diesel

Diesel2Hello all! It's be a little over a year now since we adopted Diesel (once known as Opie).  He's already almost two, and the time with him has flown by! He is doing wonderful. He knows how to sit, wait, lay down, fetch and much more! He was hunting last fall and will be going again this fall.

He and Jayda (our other dog) have become quite a pair, nearly inseparable. Diesel loves to be at the lake, and he has even become greatly fond of "dock jumping.
