Adoption Stories

We receive wonderful stories of TCHS alumni on a regular basis, and we want to offer our sincere thanks to all who take the time to share them with us. We are invested in each and every pet we care for, and we want the best for them!  This is why we do what we do. Why you give, volunteer, adopt, and encourage your friends and neighbors to do the same.

Share Your TCHS Adoption Story:  email your story with photos to pets@tricountyhumanesociety.org or message us on our Facebook page for future publication. We love to hear how our alumni are doing!

Patches, now Penny, and the Professor

This adoption story is about the adventures of P and P – TCHS alumni Penny (formerly Patches) and Professor! These two littermates were adopted one day after they arrived at TCHS in mid-December, and they have settled in perfectly.

Penny is “definitely more wild and adventurous - she’s not nervous of anything and keeps all the other animals on their toes.” Meanwhile, Professor is the chill guy. “He is also more shy and follows Penny around, almost waiting to make sure what she does is OK, but they love to roll around together and play.” The Christmas tree also was Professor-approved.

These two were just what this household needed: “We’re so happy to have them with us!”
