For The Office

Volunteer Needs

Prospective volunteers and/or fosters must apply at the links here or with paper applications available at the shelter.

  • Fosters - TCHS is always looking to add more foster volunteers to our team, but we’re especially in need of dog-savvy fosters who are willing to help give long-term pups a break from the shelter! Apply the link or pick up a printed application at the shelter.
  • Animal transporters
  • Offsite adoption and event volunteers
  • Surgery assistants (must be 18 or older, experience in some sort of medical setting preferred but not necessary)
  • Animal Photographers/videographers
  • Dog walkers (Must be 14 or older, and be able to handle big dogs!

Recycled Items for $$

  • Aluminum cans (they can be dropped off in the fenced-in area by shelter; righthand side if you are facing the shelter’s entrance)
  • Used small ink cartridges. We cannot accept cellphones or large ink cartridges or toners!.

We are UNABLE to Accept:
TCHS is grateful for our donors’ generosity. However, at this time, we are unable to accept these items:

  • Pet food not in original packaging
  • Old clothing
  • Furniture
  • Newspaper
  • Blankets/comforters, sheets, and towels
  • Used litter pans
  • Computer accessories
  • Anything broken or missing parts
