Stay Up Late for a Good Cause!

TCHS' First Shelter Slumber Pawty Raises $15,000

Thirteen animal advocates stayed up late April 5 to support Tri-County Humane Society’s animals during our first Shelter Slumber Pawty. Together, they raised almost $15,000!

Each pajamas-clad advocate spent that night and the few weeks before the event raising money for TCHS. They got to be at the shelter after-hours on April 5 to hang out with the animals while promoting the fundraising campaign. Some of them used social media to share photos and videos of the Slumber Pawty while others worked the phones to make their case for the animals.

TCHS Board Member Bill Nelson shared a room with a mom cat and kittens while he called friends to make his pitch for TCHS (while wearing Pluto slippers). Other fundraising advocates cuddled with puppies while doing their social posts. At the end of the night, the Slumber Pawty participants played a game of Twister.

We had so much fun, and mostly importantly it was a successful evening for the animals. We’re already looking forward to next year’s Slumber Pawty, on April 18, 2026.
