Adoption Stories

We receive wonderful stories of TCHS alumni on a regular basis, and we want to offer our sincere thanks to all who take the time to share them with us. We are invested in each and every pet we care for, and we want the best for them!  This is why we do what we do. Why you give, volunteer, adopt, and encourage your friends and neighbors to do the same.

Share Your TCHS Adoption Story:  email your story with photos to pets@tricountyhumanesociety.org or message us on our Facebook page for future publication. We love to hear how our alumni are doing!

Pixie

The subject of this adoption story had to be patient before finding the purr-fect match. The 6-year-old cat Pixie had a few stays at Tri-County Humane Society before she was most recently adopted to her final home in early April. She now has a feline brother named Binx, and is a foodie who enjoys sunbathing.

“Pixie enjoys her chin scratches, munching on her treats, and bird-watching from her balcony. … When we got her, she had a note on her paper stating she was the No. 1 sweetest girl, and we cannot disagree.”

Way to wait for the right family! Stay sweet, Pixie!
