Adoption Stories

We receive wonderful stories of TCHS alumni on a regular basis, and we want to offer our sincere thanks to all who take the time to share them with us. We are invested in each and every pet we care for, and we want the best for them!  This is why we do what we do. Why you give, volunteer, adopt, and encourage your friends and neighbors to do the same.

Share Your TCHS Adoption Story:  email your story with photos to pets@tricountyhumanesociety.org or message us on our Facebook page for future publication. We love to hear how our alumni are doing!

Holly

This adoption story subject has just completed a Minnesota milestone: She took her first summertime camping trip to Duluth!

Holly is a 5-year-old Miniature Pinscher mix who came to TCHS in mid-November. She was adopted about a week later, and her new family is in love.

“She enjoys her homemade dog food, and she absolutely loves getting blueberries for treats. She loves sleeping in bed with us at night and burrowing under the blankets. She has a ton of toys, but her favorite is ‘borrowing’ the cats’ toy mice. She actually caught a mouse in our house – three cats in the house, and Holly was the one who caught it!”

Holly and her family just went to Duluth. “She had a blast. She loved hiking and camping and sitting by the fire. She did amazing. She is such an awesome dog – we just love her!” We know Holly enjoyed every minute of her vacation - and she deserved it!
