Adoption Stories

We receive wonderful stories of TCHS alumni on a regular basis, and we want to offer our sincere thanks to all who take the time to share them with us. We are invested in each and every pet we care for, and we want the best for them!  This is why we do what we do. Why you give, volunteer, adopt, and encourage your friends and neighbors to do the same.

Share Your TCHS Adoption Story:  email your story with photos to pets@tricountyhumanesociety.org or message us on our Facebook page for future publication. We love to hear how our alumni are doing!

Grayson

This adoption subject arrived at TCHS with seven siblings in the fall of 2023. Now 1.5 years old, this handsome boy goes by the name of Grayson, and his house cat days are full.

To begin the day, Grayson loves to sleep by Mom’s feet in the hopes she’ll feed him as soon as she wakes up. It's wishful thinking, as every day he must wait until she leaves for work to get his breakfast. The rest of the morning, Grayson spends time in the window monitoring birds, chipmunks, and squirrels. He takes this duty very seriously. If anyone – including a stranger – comes to the door, Grayson will run to greet them. He even sometimes goes outside when his human brother supervises him. At dinnertime, Grayson tries to sit at the table in the hopes he’ll get a treat. For the evenings, he’s hanging in the living room with his family. “He will climb on our laps and sometimes even give our chin a nibble like he did when he first came home.”

Oh to be a cat! Grayson's life with his new family suits him perfectly!
