Adoption Stories

We receive wonderful stories of TCHS alumni on a regular basis, and we want to offer our sincere thanks to all who take the time to share them with us. We are invested in each and every pet we care for, and we want the best for them!  This is why we do what we do. Why you give, volunteer, adopt, and encourage your friends and neighbors to do the same.

Share Your TCHS Adoption Story:  email your story with photos to pets@tricountyhumanesociety.org or message us on our Facebook page for future publication. We love to hear how our alumni are doing!

Frenly, now Mango

This adoption story helps illustrate that fantastic things can come to those who wait! The 1-year-old mixed-breed pup we called Frenly arrived at TCHS in January after being found outside. It took him a few times to find his right fit; he ended up staying at TCHS on and off for about three months. Being a long-stay shelter resident, Frenly got a lot of promotion – we even put him in pajamas for the first TCHS Shelter Slumber Pawty! But when he found his new home, he hit the jackpot – and his new life is as sweet as his new name.

“Mango (Frenly) is doing absolutely amazing! He is the sweetest and smartest boy.” Mango is “living his best life with his fur brother and sisters,” and he’s been spending some of that time swimming – which he loves!

“Cuddles are always a must at bedtime, and when the alarm goes off in the morning, he’s right there loving on us.” Aw, doggie snuggles make waking up so much easier!
