Adoption Stories

We receive wonderful stories of TCHS alumni on a regular basis, and we want to offer our sincere thanks to all who take the time to share them with us. We are invested in each and every pet we care for, and we want the best for them!  This is why we do what we do. Why you give, volunteer, adopt, and encourage your friends and neighbors to do the same.

Share Your TCHS Adoption Story:  email your story with photos to pets@tricountyhumanesociety.org or message us on our Facebook page for future publication. We love to hear how our alumni are doing!

Molly

You might think you’re seeing double with this adoption story. Well, today’s subject didn’t just get a home, they got a lookalike doggie sibling!

Molly the Great Pyrenees mix came to Tri-County Humane Society in mid-July. She quickly found her home, and her new best buddy (and twin) Chip.

After she initially went home, Molly, a former outdoor dog, had a lot to learn. She was particularly wary of the TV and took some convincing “that the TV is NOT going to bite her.” Luckily, Chip was around to show her the ropes.

“She is wonderful - such a smart girl! She has bonded with Chip and loves to snuggle.”

And Molly has settled into a pattern: “Our morning routine … walk, play, eat, repeat.”
