Adoption Stories

We receive wonderful stories of TCHS alumni on a regular basis, and we want to offer our sincere thanks to all who take the time to share them with us. We are invested in each and every pet we care for, and we want the best for them!  This is why we do what we do. Why you give, volunteer, adopt, and encourage your friends and neighbors to do the same.

Share Your TCHS Adoption Story:  email your story with photos to pets@tricountyhumanesociety.org or message us on our Facebook page for future publication. We love to hear how our alumni are doing!

Julie

This adoption story is about Julie the cat, who at 14 years young loves to keep her new human on their toes. As they put it, she “definitely does not act like a 14-year-old cat!” Julie arrived at TCHS as a stray in August, and she found her match a month later.

“Julie's favorite spot is on someone’s lap, but she does have two blankets she frequents as well. Everyone loves Julie’s little thumbs. She can make the least ‘cat person’ fall in love! I work remotely, so she is my administrative assistant; she is responsible for greeting guests, morale, and singing, which is her true passion.”

Julie even has a new little cat house that she’s been moving her belongings into. “Julie has been the best buddy to live with, and I love to have her around.”

Julie is proof that senior pets still have lots of love to give!
