Adoption Stories

We receive wonderful stories of TCHS alumni on a regular basis, and we want to offer our sincere thanks to all who take the time to share them with us. We are invested in each and every pet we care for, and we want the best for them!  This is why we do what we do. Why you give, volunteer, adopt, and encourage your friends and neighbors to do the same.

Share Your TCHS Adoption Story:  email your story with photos to pets@tricountyhumanesociety.org or message us on our Facebook page for future publication. We love to hear how our alumni are doing!

Dilbert

This adoption subject is enjoying every bit of his new life with his family – except for the portioned controlled diet he’s on!

Dilbert, who is 3 years old, came to Tri-County Humane Society in March after being found outside. He was adopted a little more than a week later.

His favorite thing to do, according to his family, is biscuit making, followed closely by eating (so his diet is kind of a bummer), then playing with his crinkly pickle toy that reads “I’m kind of a big dill.” (Dilbert’s nickname is Dilly, so the toy is appropriate.) He also likes to sleep and sunbathe.

“He has really warmed up to his canine siblings and no longer is scared,” his human writes.

And in his household, Dilbert is kind of a big dill. “He was the best decision for my family!” We're pickled, er, tickled to hear it!
