Adoption Stories

We receive wonderful stories of TCHS alumni on a regular basis, and we want to offer our sincere thanks to all who take the time to share them with us. We are invested in each and every pet we care for, and we want the best for them!  This is why we do what we do. Why you give, volunteer, adopt, and encourage your friends and neighbors to do the same.

Share Your TCHS Adoption Story:  email your story with photos to pets@tricountyhumanesociety.org or message us on our Facebook page for future publication. We love to hear how our alumni are doing!

Sully and Luke Skyhopper

In 2023 Tri-County Humane Society placed more than 70 rabbits! And, contrary to a popular concern, we don’t typically see an uptick in rabbit surrenders around the Easter holiday.

The bunnies Sully and Luke Skyhopper, adopted together in December 2023, are two of the hoppy tails from last year who are enjoying their new homes. “The bunnies are doing really well,” their new human writes. “My daughter is in love with them. They get lots of attention throughout the day.”

For people who are interested in adopting a rabbit, TCHS has wonderful information about proper rabbit care, diet, enrichment, and environment. All those things lead to happy bunnies – like in this adoption story.
