Adoption Stories

We receive wonderful stories of TCHS alumni on a regular basis, and we want to offer our sincere thanks to all who take the time to share them with us. We are invested in each and every pet we care for, and we want the best for them!  This is why we do what we do. Why you give, volunteer, adopt, and encourage your friends and neighbors to do the same.

Share Your TCHS Adoption Story:  email your story with photos to pets@tricountyhumanesociety.org or message us on our Facebook page for future publication. We love to hear how our alumni are doing!

Prince T’Challah

There comes a time in every cat’s life when they must embrace their destiny and become the ruler they were always meant to be – even if their only subject is their doggie sibling. This adoption story is about a cat named Prince T’Challah, named after the Marvel Black Panther character. This mini black panther found his kingdom (and his new home) a little more than a month after being brought to the shelter. It’s safe to say that Prince T’Challah is enjoying his new life.

“I went to TCHS to see a yellow tabby, but she turned out to be shy, yet my Prince Charming kept grabbing my purse to get my attention. I went home and told my husband about him and we returned to TCHS that afternoon and adopted him. He is a handsome, well-mannered, loving boy who loves to play ball and tease his sister Hilda (dog). They keep each other busy!”
