Adoption Stories

We receive wonderful stories of TCHS alumni on a regular basis, and we want to offer our sincere thanks to all who take the time to share them with us. We are invested in each and every pet we care for, and we want the best for them!  This is why we do what we do. Why you give, volunteer, adopt, and encourage your friends and neighbors to do the same.

Share Your TCHS Adoption Story:  email your story with photos to pets@tricountyhumanesociety.org or message us on our Facebook page for future publication. We love to hear how our alumni are doing!

Nikki

Going to Tri-County Humane Society can change your life for the better. OK, that may sound like we’re bragging a little – but that’s what this adoption story is all about!

Nikki arrived at TCHS in 2014. She was quickly adopted – and is still the star of her home. (Seriously, check out all her costumes and accessories!)

“Nikki may have only spent all of three days at the Humane Society, but she has spent the last eight years hogging the bed and being an all-around best girl. She loves to nap on one of her three (yes, three) dog beds and being a general goofball. She loves belly rubs and firmly believes she will catch any and all squirrels if given the opportunity. She also loves to steal pillows and claim them as her own.”

Aw, Nikki, we think you deserve all the belly rubs and pillows you can handle! But that’s not even the best part of the story – this final sentence submitted by one of her humans is:

“I'm honestly just so happy we ended up going to the Humane Society the day she was brought in and instantly fell in love with her. She has been the best addition to my life.”
