Adoption Stories

We receive wonderful stories of TCHS alumni on a regular basis, and we want to offer our sincere thanks to all who take the time to share them with us. We are invested in each and every pet we care for, and we want the best for them!  This is why we do what we do. Why you give, volunteer, adopt, and encourage your friends and neighbors to do the same.

Share Your TCHS Adoption Story:  email your story with photos to pets@tricountyhumanesociety.org or message us on our Facebook page for future publication. We love to hear how our alumni are doing!

Simba

Daytime birdwatching, nighttime playtime, plenty of cuddles – what else could a cat ask for?

This adoption story is about Simba, a cat who originally was most interested in ruling over his kingdom at night. Shortly after he was adopted in April, his new humans discovered he was REALLY nocturnal.

“When the sun goes down, that’s when his personality shines. … Simba is the most perfect addition to our little family. I love his nighttime zoomies! I actually work overnights as well, so on my days off, Simba and I have a similar schedule, which is perfect for our new bond!”

Now after almost two months at home, Simba is all about the daytime, too. (He especially likes peeping at all the wildlife on the patio and deck.) “He’s a very cuddly boy. And also very vocal about needing his pets! We absolutely adore him!”

"Night will always remain a cat's magical, fanciful time." Jerry Climer
