Adoption Stories

We receive wonderful stories of TCHS alumni on a regular basis, and we want to offer our sincere thanks to all who take the time to share them with us. We are invested in each and every pet we care for, and we want the best for them!  This is why we do what we do. Why you give, volunteer, adopt, and encourage your friends and neighbors to do the same.

Share Your TCHS Adoption Story:  email your story with photos to pets@tricountyhumanesociety.org or message us on our Facebook page for future publication. We love to hear how our alumni are doing!

Decaf and Espresso

At Tri-County Humane Society, kittens are 2-Purr-1 when we have an abundance of young furry feline guests. And while it’s good for us (more kittens getting homes!), it’s also good for the kittens because they socialize and entertain each other (and in theory are less demanding of their humans!). That’s especially helpful because some kittens have so much energy it’s like they’ve had a double dose of coffee!

This adoption story is about two little ones named Decaf and Espresso, who arrived at the shelter in late December as part of an unplanned litter. They were adopted together, and these two are still the perfect blend. (Ha!)

“The girls are getting very comfortable and loving their new home! They are both little troublemakers at times, but always love being around people and we can tell this by the constant purring!”

“What are kittens made of? 30% cuteness, 29% mischief, 28% purrs, 10% soft fur, 3% innocence” Unknown
