Adoption Stories

We receive wonderful stories of TCHS alumni on a regular basis, and we want to offer our sincere thanks to all who take the time to share them with us. We are invested in each and every pet we care for, and we want the best for them!  This is why we do what we do. Why you give, volunteer, adopt, and encourage your friends and neighbors to do the same.

Share Your TCHS Adoption Story:  email your story with photos to pets@tricountyhumanesociety.org or message us on our Facebook page for future publication. We love to hear how our alumni are doing!

Kodak, now Koda

Sometimes adoption stories are long, involved tales. Other times, they are short and sweet – like this one.

The 2-year-old Rottweiler mix known at Tri-County Humane Society as Kodak arrived at the shelter in mid-March looking for a fresh start. Kodak found a picture-perfect one only four days later. Now called Koda, he is enjoying every moment with his new family.

“Koda is so snuggly. He loves cuddles and going on walks. He loves being in the garage helping – and him and his brother Rocky love to play together and explore in the woods in our yard.”

We’re glad that Koda is helping create so many wonderful memories with his new family!
