Adoption Stories

We receive wonderful stories of TCHS alumni on a regular basis, and we want to offer our sincere thanks to all who take the time to share them with us. We are invested in each and every pet we care for, and we want the best for them!  This is why we do what we do. Why you give, volunteer, adopt, and encourage your friends and neighbors to do the same.

Share Your TCHS Adoption Story:  email your story with photos to pets@tricountyhumanesociety.org or message us on our Facebook page for future publication. We love to hear how our alumni are doing!

Nipper

This adoption story is pretty special – it’s from the subject itself! (We knew all TCHS alumni were exceptional, but we didn’t know they could write!) Let’s hear from 4-year-old Nipper, who was known as the dog Newt at Tri-County Humane Society:

“Well, I’m in love with my new family! They feed me very well as I have gained a few pounds. I have learned my boundaries around my home and in my home! (I am very, very smart.) I race around my yard like a bullet and make my family laugh. I’m petted and loved up a great deal. I went with Linda into Runnings farm store and I did splendidly. I listened to her and had no accidents. Thank you all for finding me my forever home. You all are the best!”
