Adopted pets aren’t just a supportive presence for their new humans – they can often help their animal siblings, too!
The 1-year-old cat known as Miss Muffin at the shelter has become an exemplary big sister to a kitten who joined the household.
Miss Muffin, who arrived at TCHS in early November, is now “Lady Jellyjam, because she is so proper, sweet, and petite,” with the tiniest meows. She gets along great with the kitten adoptee, who came from another rescue; they were so eager to meet each other that the “proper introductions” timeline got moved up a bit. “They are very playful with each other and sleep with each other, too.”
“A meow massages the heart.” Stuart McMillan
