Adoption Stories

We receive wonderful stories of TCHS alumni on a regular basis, and we want to offer our sincere thanks to all who take the time to share them with us. We are invested in each and every pet we care for, and we want the best for them!  This is why we do what we do. Why you give, volunteer, adopt, and encourage your friends and neighbors to do the same.

Share Your TCHS Adoption Story:  email your story with photos to pets@tricountyhumanesociety.org or message us on our Facebook page for future publication. We love to hear how our alumni are doing!

Maverick and Goose

At Tri-County Humane Society, all our pups are top guns, er, top dogs. Today’s Feel Good Fur-day is about a pair of cattle dog youngsters who are much loved in their new home. They were called Calf and Cattle when they were with us in December; now they’re Maverick and Goose, and they were adopted together under our Lucky $13 promotion.

“They LOVE to snuggle with anyone that is around and especially get their ears rubbed. Since starting obedience classes, we have been working really hard on learning how to ‘sit’ and ‘come’ on command, and both have been catching on very quickly. They are not a fan of this cold weather we are having, so they each got some socks, and surprisingly don’t hate them on their feet! Their favorite thing to do lately is go on long walks and eat all the snow they possibly can.”
