Pinkie, now Astrid

That first year of a dog’s life goes so fast and includes so many changes and dog-life lessons! We’re always delighted to hear about puppy alumni who have grown up to be very good and well-loved dogs. This adoption story is one of them.

A shepherd mix puppy whom we called Pinkie came to us in late 2020; she found her home by January 2021. And what a first year it’s been for Pinkie, who is now Astrid. Luckily for her, she was adopted by a standout TCHS volunteer/foster parent.

“Astrid is an energetic girl who loves the snow, hiking, and car rides! Her favorite games include fetch and hide-and-seek with her humans. She loves any toy with a squeaker and fluff — she loves pulling them apart even more. She has recently started agility and is crushing it. She is a great role model for foster kittens and tries to be a mother to them.”

Thanks to Astrid we’re able to include “grew up with a dog” to the foster kittens’ adoption profile!

You too could help socialize kittens by fostering.
