Tara

We adopted our kitty from Tri-County humane society a year and a half ago. When we went in to adopt we tried to hold a kitty named Tara, she was so shy and hid every time someone came to the cage and got nervous when you opened the door on it. The first time we held her- she was so afraid that she tried to jump right back into the cage. That day we left empty handed. A week later we went back in hopes of adopting a kitten. All week we talked about Tara and how cute her little black nose was. We were there for an hour and decided to hold Tara, she was the last kitten we held and this time she snuggled in my arms when I picked her up and even GAVE ME KISSES! The volunteer even commented that she had never seen Tara do that! She picked us! We took her home and she made it her home. She is still shy to people she doesn’t know, but loves to play and be a part of everything we do! She loves our screened-in balcony and chasing bugs on the screens. She has become more comfortable and loving with sitting on our laps while watching TV. We kept her name Tara and it fits her so well as we call her our little Tara-riser.
