Marshall

Today’s Feel Good Fur-Day is about a puppy who was a true lover while at the shelter – forget playtime, he always wanted to be with people, preferably giving kisses! Luckily for him, he met his perfect match.
The puppy named Marshall arrived at Tri-County Humane Society with his sister, Penelope, in early November. TCHS’ veterinary team amputated one of Marshall’s legs that was affected by a birth defect. Marshall adjusted well after his operation, but he still waited a bit to find his home. The average length of stay at TCHS for any animal is 10 days, so Marshall’s 18 days before adoption was an outlier, especially for an adorable puppy.
It turns out, his new family was there all along! He was adopted by a TCHS volunteer who often cares for our dogs. Now 5 months old, Marshall is “becoming the most handsome boy!”
“We love having him around. His favorite thing is running and playing outside. He truly doesn’t let having three legs slow him down at all. We forget that he’s missing a leg sometimes!”
Marshall loves his squeaky toys, even if the noise annoys his feline sibling, and watching squirrels and bunnies in the yard.
“He’s been a quick learner when it comes to training and still loves snuggles.”
Here’s to great love stories like Marshall’s!
