Lucy was surrendered with her siblings as an unplanned litter. When they came in they were too small for adoption so they went to a foster home. Once Lucy was big enough to be spayed, she and her litter-mates came back to the shelter. A couple days after that, distemper broke out in the shelter so Lucy and her siblings returned to their foster home until the quarantine was over. They were brought back once more and shortly after, all of them had deposits! On October 18, 2017, after waiting for nearly three months, Lucy was going home!

Lucy’s adopters frequently visit the shelter making donations when they can. Often times, they run into Lucy’s foster mom and  share photos and stories. Most recently they showed  this picture showing that Lucy won a championship ribbon from the Mora county fair this summer!

Her new adopters sent  this update: Lucy enjoys playing with her new friend and hiding in purses and sinks. She loves her new home and fits in perfectly! She gets along great with the grandkids and we couldn’t ask for a better addition to our house.
