The black cat known as Jalapeno arrived at Tri-County Humane Society in June 2025 as part of a Leech Lake Legacy transfer. He was adopted about two weeks later, and the now almost 2-year-old cat is very much loved.

“When we met him, he grabbed our trust and affection very quickly,” one of his new human writes. “Jalapeno changed our lives.”

Jalapeno, who loves his supervised outdoor time, keeps his family members on their toes.

“He is too curious and naughty – but very cute at the same time.” Sounds like a cat!
