Iris and Sage
Both Iris and Sage (which were temporary names at intake) were in need of some TLC as you will see in the “before” picture. I won’t have to tell you which picture is the before shot, but notice the other dog is in the back corner They were later renamed Scooby Doo and Scrappy Doo. We were unable to tell their age due to them being too frightened of having their mouth touched. Both were very skittish but would allow petting. We couldn’t even tell if they were a boy or girl at first because of the massive clumps of fur and fecal matter. The lady who brought them in got them from her 80 year old neighbor who just found out she had cancer. She asked that they be taken to us so we could find a new home for them since she wasn’t able to care for them.
One of our valued volunteers came in to give them a transformation of great proportion. Both were adopted last Friday and today’s follow-up calls report they are perfect dogs and well-trained. Scrappy Doo is now named Norman which fits his new dignified appearance.
