Honey and Luna
Today’s Feel Good Fur-Day begins with a 10-year-old girl who had her heart set on adopting guinea pigs. She saved her allowance and promised she would be the primary caregiver (no Mom cleaning cages).
Flash forward to Honey (formerly Honey Cappuccino) and Luna (formerly Espresso Bean) living great lives in their new home and with their young human, Reese. The now 4-month-old piggie sisters went home in early October.
“The girls were only a little over a month old when we adopted them,” Reese’s mom writes. “They have grown and settled in nicely to their large cage. They love to eat vegetables and play in their play area. Luna and Honey squeak when they are hungry. Our dog is very intrigued by them.”
Reese not only saved her money to cover the pigs’ adoption fees; she also bought all their supplies. “Reese continues to be their primary caregiver just like she said she would.” Way to go, Reese!
