Lately, our small animal room has seemed almost as busy as our cat room thanks to an influx of guinea pigs. So far this year, we’ve adopted out 94 guinea pigs! Today’s Feel Good Fur-Day is about two of them. We called the 3-year-old female guinea pigs Hammie and Hazel; they are now Cheryl and Shania. They were adopted in mid-August.

“These two rescue piggies are living their best lives! Shania is the outgoing one — she warms up to new people quickly and loves being the center of attention. Cheryl is a little more shy, but she makes up for it by being super chatty (she always has something to say when the veggie drawer opens).”

Their human said the pair has settled in well with their furry siblings, a dog and three curious cats.

“These girls spend their days squeaking, munching hay, and soaking up the cozy vibes in their happy home.” Sounds like the perfect life for little friends!
