Dot, now Lita

One of the many great parts about adopting a shelter animal is seeing them shed their nerves and become the happy pets they were always meant to be.
Today’s Feel Good Fur-Day features a stray pup we called “Dot.” The then-4-year-old mixed-breed small pup was found outside in April 2025. Not surprisingly, she was a nervous gal. She found her home in about a week, and now, a year later, the renamed Lita is a completely different dog!
“Lita was initially quite timid and shy. But her easygoing, happy-go-lucky personality is now shining through.”
Her new family shared that Lita loves playing with balls, belly rubs, pontoon rides, and even Rollerblading time! This “great snuggle buddy” has done well with kids of all ages, too, and she plays well with other dogs.
“Lita has become a wonderful addition to our family. We hope she feels like a lucky dog!”
We bet she does!
