Then called Dora, this almost 2-year-old mixed-breed pup arrived at Tri-County Humane Society in May and waited only three days to find a home.

“Dory found her way into our family, and from the very first day, she brought joy with her. She doesn’t simply walk — she gallops! The moment her name is called, her whole body wiggles with excitement, ready for whatever adventure might come next.” Dory reminds her new family daily how much happiness can fit into one joyful, leaping dog.

Dory had plenty of adventures this past summer with her new family. She spent lots of time outside, got plenty of car rides, and even enjoyed Gator and boat trips, too. She tags along to mom’s podiatry office, where she has a self-appointed yet very important role: Chief Cuddle Officer. “While patients receive care, Dory happily makes her rounds, soaking up pets and love while offering quiet companionship.”
