Tuck was formerly known as Cosmo, part of the “C” litter of puppies from Leech Lake Legacy that arrived in April 2025. We had the pups listed as mixed breed, as even our best guesses can be wrong. Tuck’s new family ran a DNA test on him, and the results surprised them – and us! Know your breeds? Take a guess before looking at the test results below.

Drum roll, please … Tuck’s DNA results came up with the following: 19 percent Alaskan Malamute, 16 percent Staffordshire Bull Terrier, 15 percent Chinese Shar-Pei, 14 percent Cane Corso, 12 percent Siberian Husky, 12 percent Rottweiler, and 12 percent Doberman Pinscher. (His family still believes there’s got to be a little German Shepherd in there somewhere, though.)

No matter his genetics, Tuck has been the perfection addition to the family. He loves the kids, keeps the whole family busy, and is always up for an adventure.
