Today’s Feel Good Fur-Day is no different – he’s particularly partial to playing with a plastic straw, and pretty much only a plastic straw. “He loves it when I toss it in the air,” his new human writes. This 1-year-old cat’s name is now Chip; when he arrived as a stray in early December 2025, we called him Chips Ahoy. He was adopted after a week with us, and it sounds like he’s quite a character.

“He is a big fan of climbing on everything, especially the fridge, and has startled me many times. His favorite spot to hang out is in the bathtub, as long as there is no water in it. Also, he likes to try to climb my curtains but hasn’t gotten to the top yet.” It’s safe to say Chip is keeping his new human alert: “Doors are another thing he’s getting closer and closer to figuring out.”

Chip may be a little bit of a stinker, but at least he’s great company. “He has learned that when he meows and is vocal, I reply, and we’ve been having conversations.”
