Adoption Stories

We receive wonderful stories of TCHS alumni on a regular basis, and we want to offer our sincere thanks to all who take the time to share them with us. We are invested in each and every pet we care for, and we want the best for them!  This is why we do what we do. Why you give, volunteer, adopt, and encourage your friends and neighbors to do the same.

Share Your TCHS Adoption Story:  email your story with photos to pets@tricountyhumanesociety.org or message us on our Facebook page for future publication. We love to hear how our alumni are doing!

Lattie, now Haily

Is there anything better than watching a puppy grow? Who doesn’t love puppy snuggles, puppy kisses, and puppy breath? This adoption story is about a pup from a litter of 11. (Yes, you read that right, 11!)

When they arrived for their intake at Tri-County Humane Society by way of Leech Lake Legacy, our staff member quite literally had her hands full recording all of their information, as well as weighing and collaring them! The puppy formerly known as Lattie is now Haily, and as you can see, she’s fitting in just great at her new home!

“She is doing so well - minimal accidents and good with our older dog (12) and the kids. She is a snuggle bug!”

"Whoever said you can't buy happiness forgot little puppies."  Gene Hill
