Adoption Stories

We receive wonderful stories of TCHS alumni on a regular basis, and we want to offer our sincere thanks to all who take the time to share them with us. We are invested in each and every pet we care for, and we want the best for them!  This is why we do what we do. Why you give, volunteer, adopt, and encourage your friends and neighbors to do the same.

Share Your TCHS Adoption Story:  email your story with photos to pets@tricountyhumanesociety.org or message us on our Facebook page for future publication. We love to hear how our alumni are doing!

Comforter, now Lulu

We at Tri-County Humane Society are big fans of tortoiseshell kitties – feisty personalities and all - so we loved hearing this update from a recent adopter! The family added the kitten “Comforter” to their home in May; now she’s named “Lulu.”

“She spends most days working with me (I work from home). She loves to play fetch, she is curious about everything, she has such a big personality and a little tortie ‘tude,’ as her vet calls it.  Her new best friend is Sasha, our Golden Retriever.  She is the perfect addition to our family!”

"Dogs come when they're called; cats take a message and get back to you later."  — Professor Mary Bly
