Adoption Stories

We receive wonderful stories of TCHS alumni on a regular basis, and we want to offer our sincere thanks to all who take the time to share them with us. We are invested in each and every pet we care for, and we want the best for them!  This is why we do what we do. Why you give, volunteer, adopt, and encourage your friends and neighbors to do the same.

Share Your TCHS Adoption Story:  email your story with photos to pets@tricountyhumanesociety.org or message us on our Facebook page for future publication. We love to hear how our alumni are doing!

Peggy

Tri-County Humane Society’s animals tend to get adopted very fast – so fast, that sometimes those who stay at the shelter a little longer stick out! Such is the case with Peggy, a beautiful cat who waited almost a month to find her match. All in all, it turned out to be worth the wait for everyone involved.

“When I saw Peggy, I knew immediately she was family. She’s the sweetest, lovely, friendliest cat - her favorite activity is to sleep on my lap while we watch TV.  During my working from home hours, she always accompanies me on her cat tower next to my desk. She adapted really well to our daily routines. The most social and gracious cat I’ve ever met, we walk on a leash a couple of times per week, and she never misses an opportunity to greet people.

My words cannot express how much I love her and the appreciation to Tri-County Humane Society for all they did for Peggy.”

"Because when I look at you, I can feel it. And I look at you and I’m home." Dory, Finding Nemo
