To those us who know firsthand the wonderful companionship our animal friends provide, it’ll come as no surprise to you that TCHS experienced a higher than normal demand for pets in 2020. In fact, more animals were adopted in 2020 than the year prior! Combine that with the statistic of fewer animals coming in, and you’ve got yourself a pretty good year for the books – and most of all, for the animals! Today we’re featuring a pair of cats who are fulfilling their companionship contract in fine fashion:
“On April 17, 2020 we adopted Derby from TCHS. He is beautiful orange male with a white bib and white paws. On June 15 we adopted another beauty whose name was Coco. We changed her name to Scarlet. She is feisty as was Vivien Leigh in Gone with the Wind. Scarlett is a tortoiseshell with some Maine Coon in the mix. Both cats are about 8 years old. They are both very affectionate and get along very well. Their original owners did a very good job of training them , as they are well mannered and friendly! These cats have brought us much joy, especially in this continued lockdown.”
