Adoption Stories

We receive wonderful stories of TCHS alumni on a regular basis, and we want to offer our sincere thanks to all who take the time to share them with us. We are invested in each and every pet we care for, and we want the best for them!  This is why we do what we do. Why you give, volunteer, adopt, and encourage your friends and neighbors to do the same.

Share Your TCHS Adoption Story:  email your story with photos to pets@tricountyhumanesociety.org or message us on our Facebook page for future publication. We love to hear how our alumni are doing!

London and England

London and England

This story is a jolly good one indeed! The cats London and England, two adult brothers, arrived at Tri-County Humane Society due to a family member developing allergies. The brothers had been together their whole lives, so we were hopeful they’d  be adopted together. They didn’t have to wait long – the pair went home a few days later!

“Adopting London and England has been amazing for our family. They have been such a source of comfort and stress relief for all of us, but especially for our son,” writes one of their new humans. “They are extremely affectionate, and love cuddling. There is always one, and sometimes both of them, sleeping with our son. He says that he sleeps better knowing that they are there, protecting him. They love to lay in our laps and cuddle down for a nap. Adding them to our family was one of the best decisions we've made this year.”

England has even been known to keep the son (Finn) company during his distance learning sessions - what a bloody good mate he is!
