Adoption Stories

We receive wonderful stories of TCHS alumni on a regular basis, and we want to offer our sincere thanks to all who take the time to share them with us. We are invested in each and every pet we care for, and we want the best for them!  This is why we do what we do. Why you give, volunteer, adopt, and encourage your friends and neighbors to do the same.

Share Your TCHS Adoption Story:  email your story with photos to pets@tricountyhumanesociety.org or message us on our Facebook page for future publication. We love to hear how our alumni are doing!

Sunny and Oreo

Sunny and Oreo

This adoption story is about a pair of guinea pigs who are living high on the hog!!

Oh come on – now that’s funny!!! Or at least grin and groan-worthy!

Who says only dogs and cats get to be pampered by their people? Let’s hear from the new family of these little piggies:

“We adopted Sunny and Oreo in January of this year. They have been such a fun addition to our family. They are quite spoiled by all of us. They have a play area they visit twice a day outside of their cage. We love watching them ‘popcorn’ all over the place. Their favorite green is parsley. Their favorite treat is an apple slice. They scream every time the door to the refrigerator opens – wow, they learn fast! My daughter Addison absolutely loves them wholeheartedly and we just wanted you to know they are thriving with us! Thank you for all that you do!"
